The Damsels had a long rest after the escaping the Goblin King's arena. Greggo the giant decided to go on his merry way alone. The rest of the group headed up the King's road.
The group came to a bridge and encountered one of the fellow prisoners that di not leave with the group. He had a troll accomplice and tried to heavy hand the Damsels into paying a toll for the bridge. The Damsels refused and a fight began.
The dice gods were definitely in the Damsel's corner with rolls. Sara Conner managed to successfully cast a fire related spell, so the troll could not regenerate. Sara Conner accidently fell into the alligator infested waters, but successfully got out unscathed. It did not take long, the fight went well. Troll and prisoner dead, the group moved on.
Came to the entrance of a cave, was decided that Sudara would investigate and return to the group. Found some miners and the group decided to confront them peacefully. The miners were afraid of the group and just wanted the Damsels to move along. They explained they were afraid of their boss, but were unwilling to join the group. Left the scaredy cat miners on their own.
The group moved on and thankfully were able to sneak past the sleeping boss. As they got past, he woke up hearing a noise from where the group had just been. Quickly moving on, the group went further ahead. Needing heals from the fight at the bridge, they stopped for a moment. Heals were done and a loud creature was coming through the cavern towards them. Greggo was back and carrying the head of the sleeping boss! Unfortunately, Greggo was injured. More heals given and the group exited the cave.
Saw a sign with arrow pointing to the King's road and another to a village close by. The group needing supplies, headed to the town. Awoke a sleeping guardsman, he was started to see our motley crew, especially a giant. Convinced him we were okay and the giant would behave. We were allowed to go to the inn. Supplies were purchased along with a night at the inn. Found a group going up the King's road and purchased seats in the wagon. Game ended there. Our DM was surprised that we got so much done. He thought we would fight more.
